Festival Day in Dallas –
There is a great deal of excitement building around our very first Festival Day in Dallas, scheduled for January 25th, beginning at 10:30AM. On Festival Day, please enter the building on the Sanctuary side (to the left as you face the building). A sign-in sheet will be on the table near the sanctuary entrance. We expect this to be a great day of wonderful student/class performances and blessed fellowship. Feel free to invite friends that might be interested in enrolling their children in our school. Our Headmaster, Co-Founder & President (Mr. Rodney Marshall) and our Co-Founder & Curriculum Director (Mrs. Robi Marshall) will be in attendance. The Festival Day schedule is the following:
10:30 – 12:00 Student & Class Performances in the Sanctuary

Parents with questions, please contact Mrs. Cottle.
Summer Camps in Dallas
We are in the planning stages of creating a summer camp program at the Dallas school. The camps would allow you to register for one week at a time or for multiple weeks. The camps might allow students to be engaged in the following activities during a typical day: physical education through sports (including dodge ball of course), language instruction (Greek, Latin or Spanish), art instruction, writing, public speaking, war games, crafts, educational games, guitar, and argumentation & debate. Each week might feature a trip to a local attraction of educational value like one of the following: Dallas Aquarium, Dallas Symphony, Dallas Museum of Art, etc. If you are interested in a camp program as tentatively described, please contact Mr. Fox. An expression of interest is not a commitment. Rather, an expression of interest might assist us in being efficient in planning. Also, I would really like to hear your suggestions or contributing ideas.
Moms & Muffins
The next Moms & Muffins Fellowship will be held on February 1st beginning at 8:00. Fellowship will begin immediately after the children’s devotional time. This event will be a little different as the Dallas moms have invited new applicant families and those families recently expressing an interest in our school. Moms, please come out and support the school and meet new friends. As always, younger siblings are invited and a Christian video will be shown to siblings during the mom’s fellowship time. GP has also promised to make an appearance (as long as he can get a chocolate muffin).
Dallas Campus Announces Full Day Preschool Program-
The Dallas campus will offer a full day preschool program beginning next year. This option will continue to provide a strong academic component with the hours being identical to the existing hours for grades K-4. The ½ day program will also continue to be an option for those families desiring that option. Let others know about this new offering for 2007-2008 in Dallas.
The Next New Family Information Meeting is in Dallas –
The Dallas Campus already has seventeen new applicants for next year. Please continue to pray for and actively promote the Dallas Campus among your interested friends. The next CDA New Family Information Meeting is in Dallas on February 5th. This is a key event for our new school - please promote the school by inviting your friends. Additionally, I have adjusted the weekly visitation hours so that prospective parents can join us in worship and can meet GP. By the way, GP stands for “Growing Pains.” GP is the puppet assisting Mr. Fox in the devotion series on the fruit of the Spirit.
Reenrollment for 2007-2008 is now available
The Reenrollment period is from January 1
st to January 31
st. If you reenroll during this period, you will avoid a $250.00 late registration fee. You may reenroll now by visiting the following URL:
http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/pages/reenrollment.php. Reenrolling your child only takes a few minutes online. Before you do, take a moment and review the following excerpt from our Admissions Director:
Re-enrollment Continues at a Brisk Pace—Don’t Delay
Nearly half of CDA’s current students have taken advantage of the priority re-enrollment period which opened January 1. If you intend for your children to return to Coram Deo Academy next year, we encourage you to re-enroll online by January 31. Doing so guarantees your child a seat and exempts you from the $250 late re-enrollment fee. And most importantly, it enables the school to adequately plan for the 2007-2008 academic year.
To re-enroll, click on the “re-enrollment button” found on the upper left side-bar of the CDA home page. Or from the “Current Students” tab on the CDA website, you may access your family account. Enter your user name and password. There is a trouble shooting button if you have forgotten your password but if that doesn’t work, please email school@coramdeoacademy.org for assistance.
Once you have successfully logged in, you should see the names of your children currently attending CDA. Click on the blue “re-enroll now” button to start the re-enrollment process. This should take about 10-15 minutes maximum. You will be asked to complete a brief survey one time; if you are re-enrolling more than one child, the system will by-pass the survey as well as the “update family contact information” portion. You will simply select the payment option and click “I accept” to sign the Enrollment Covenant for the subsequent students. One step in the re-enrollment process is to review the new schedule of Tuition and Fees which explains payment options and financial assistance. [Click for a letter explaining this confidential process.] The Finance Office will begin invoicing in the next few weeks as payment for the 2007-2008 school year begins March 5.
Elective registration is also handled online via your family login and should open mid-February. If you have a FACTS account, it will be adjusted to reflect the addition of electives. If you selected the payment in full option, please include ½ elective tuition in your March 5 and July 5 payments. (If you register for an elective after March 5 and are paying in full, ½ tuition is due at the time of registration. Please direct questions to the Finance Office.)
Coram Deo Academy has been blessed by tremendous growth in its short history. We are grateful to play a vital role in the education of so many children in the presence of God and lookforward to another year of educating students coram deo.
Campus Visitation –
Tours of the Dallas School, 12727 Hillcrest, Dallas, are offered every Thursday morning. Please contact Mr. Fox at 972-385-6410 to make a reservation for 8:15 am visitation on February 1st. Regular visitation for January 25th is cancelled due to the festival preparations. However, feel free to invite prospective parents to our festival day. If you know of others who may be interested in exploring CDA, please encourage them to subscribe to our new admission blog http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/blogs/admissions.php . This will provide them with regular notices from our Admissions Director, Mrs. Barbara Rogers.
Electives Courses for 2007-2008 –
We are considering offering the following courses on Fridays next year in Dallas:
Visual Art, Hands on Science, Guitar, Spanish, Drama, War Games (grades 5 & 6), Physical Education, and Vocals. We are attempting to provide an excellent array of course offerings that meet your desires for your children. Therefore, if there is an elective that you would like to see provided that is not included on the list above and you believe there is sufficient demand to support that course; I encourage you to let me know your idea(s) as soon as possible. I value your opinions and will seriously consider recommendations that you make.
Thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your child.
Serving Him,
Joseph C. Fox
Director, Coram Deo Academy of Dallas
