Farewell from the Principal’s Desk (See you in the math classroom)
Dear Parents,

PERSONAL NOTE: Today is my last official day as Principal. I have loved serving as the Principal of Coram Deo Academy’s high school and remain ever devoted to the school’s mission, vision and values. I will be spending much of July visiting family in Iowa and look forward to seeing you all in August as we begin a new year.

Next year I hope to write to you from time to time regarding Mathematics at CDA and will enjoy seeing all of your students in the Math classrooms. Thank you for allowing me to serve you these last four years and I pray the Lord allows many more years to come

Administrative duties are in very capable hands as I leave with Mrs. Dwyer being responsible for campus administration, Mr. Lemley being responsible for student oversight and Mrs. Marshall leading the faculty. A special thanks to all of them and especially to Mrs. Ellen Perry who’s constant, yeoman’s oversight of the administrative offices will continue.

WEBSITE BOOKLIST – The booklist for next year is now accessible through the CDA Website! You can locate this on the CDA home page then looking for the left hand column labeled “Books and Store.”  You can also go directly to: http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/bookstore/index.php

Our booklist will also be available on the Varsitybooks.com site soon. But, as of today it still had a few needed corrections.

SCHEDULES PUBLISHED MID-JULY – I expect you to be able to review a draft of your child’s schedule and see the master schedule for all upper school classes by the middle of July.

May the gracious God and Father of our Lord grant you peace and fill you with His Holy Spirit.

Summer Reading
Dear Parents,

Blessings to you from the Lord and greetings from the faculty and staff of CDA. Please take a moment to review the following items of interest:

SUMMER READING – A good book is like a roller-coaster; an uphill climb for a few pages while it gets going, then sit back and enjoy the ride. A few minutes each day of reading is a great reward to our children and I pray you are well into your summer reading lists by now. Please don’t try to do this all at once in August – you will enjoy it much more to do a little each day.

To find the summer reading list and an updated list of Fiction/Non-fiction report forms by grade, click on the following link: http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/bookstore/summerreading.php

MASTERING MATH – If your math test results or grades are not what you would like, please consider enrolling online in our “Mastering Math” summer elective. This new online program is customized to your child’s math needs. The cost of the program is $110 and I would be happy to answer any questions you have and look forward to working with you all to become Math Masters this summer!

SCHEDULES ARE ON THE WAY – We are working to develop next year’s individual student schedules and will post them online for your review in the next two weeks.

Thanks again for your attention and continued prayer. May the gracious God and Father of our Lord grant you peace and fill you with His Holy Spirit.
