A Very Personal End of Year Note
Friends,

On Friday Morning, December 29th my sweet mother went home to be with the Lord. She was promoted to glory after a three-year bout with ovarian cancer. Her faith in Christ was strong and an example to us all right to the end.

Most of you know that I have been on leave in Iowa spending this time with her and will forever be blessed by our last days together. I appreciate your understanding of my absence and your prayers. Her funeral services will be Wednesday, January 3rd and though it is very sad, my family and I are relieved that she is at peace and present with Jesus. I look forward to getting back to you the week of January 8th.

Doris Ann Rector’s complete obituary can be viewed at: www.purseldavis.com

There is much about my mother and this last month I could say, but it suffices for now to say this: I came here to minister to her, but in the end it was she who ministered to me with her steadfast faith in Christ and her unending motherly love.

God bless you all,

Bill

Weekly Highlights

RE-ENROLLMENT – Although the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year is still many months away, Coram Deo Academy is actively preparing for a new academic year. As in the past, CDA’s re-enrollment period coincides with the new calendar year. Almost all of our current students who re-enroll within the month of January retain their seats in their core day of attendance and save the expense of a $250 Late Enrollment Fee.

Our high school has always tried our best to handle requests to transfer days and we currently have a great imbalance of students enrolled on Tuesday/Thursday as compared to Monday/Wednesday. This is not the case at the K-8 grade levels and has caused a severe space limitation as we project our T/Th classroom needs into the coming year. As a result, we will not be able to accommodate many (perhaps no) requests to transfer from M/W to T/Th. Actually, we may have to ask some of our current T/Th students to transfer to M/W this year.

Beginning January 1st, families wishing to re-enroll their children at CDA for the coming school year may do so via their family login. This online process takes only a few minutes of your time yet assures you that your family will reap the benefits of a continued classical Christian education.

The priority re-enrollment period ends January 31. While it is possible to re-enroll a student after the end of January, CDA cannot guarantee a seat on your requested day. Also, please note that a Late Re-enrollment Fee of $250 per student will be assessed.
CDA sincerely desires to continue its unique school-parent collaboration with everyone of you as we educate Christian youth to live all of life before God. In order to ensure a firm financial foundation, modest tuition increases are to be expected annually. The new schedule of Tuition and Fees http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/pages/tuition.php reflects an average increase of 7% and includes additional Tuition Assistance for qualifying families. For more information about this confidential process, please click here.
FRIDAY JANUARY 5th will be assembly day for the month. We invite parents also to join us to hear from a panel of former CDA students now attending local universities. Our dress uniform (ties required) will be in effect. This will be our first Friday back from Christmas Break and we will have a special schedule for that day:
