[Flower Mound, Texas – Nov. 7, 2008] Tune in on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 12:31 p.m., as Headmaster Rodney Marshall “steps up to the mic” on Dallas Station KLIF, 570 AM. Mr. Marshall will speak with John Criswell, former television news broadcast anchor, about the continued importance of a private Christian education in these troubled economic times. This segment follows the local news at 12:30 p.m..
“We certainly understand that a private education can be financially challenging,” said Mr. Marshall, “but the education of a child is the most important investment on earth. At Coram Deo, we believe passionately in our mission to train ethical leaders and wise thinkers who will shape culture for the glory of God. It is these young people, sharp, purposeful, creative thinkers, who will grow into positions of leadership and who, ultimately, will help to heal not just our economy, but our world.”
Applications for admission to Coram Deo Academy, an independent, Christian school, are now being accepted for the 2009-2010 school year. The Academy offers full-time pre-kindergarten through grade 12 instruction through its signature program in which students receive professional instruction on-campus two to three days a week and study at home under the tutelage of their parents the remaining days. A five-day a week on-campus option is also available for grades five and above. A new online academy offers upper level math classes with plans for future expansion.
Parents interested in a family/school collaborative culture, as well as a Christian education experience, are invited to visit Coram Deo Academy at either an information session or a campus visit day.

Coram Deo Academy of Flower Mound’s varsity football team is riding a very respectable record of three wins versus only one loss. Notwithstanding the sterling record, next week’s contest against Shelton School represents the start of the all-important district play, according to head coach Donnie Brake. This week, the team rested because of a bye in the schedule.
Meanwhile the Junior High team is showing signs of some dominance, as they beat Carrollton Christian Academy 36-0 this week. Student-athletes Connor Ashburn, Slader Ammons and Walker Nelson ran for touchdowns while Caleb Brake threw two touchdowns to Matthew McKee. The defense was also quite dominant, led by Josh Elliott, Preston Green and Gunnar James.
The varsity volleyball team is playing well together and the improvements are very evident, as most all games are very close. Coach Kim Grizzle says the team is looking forward to the second half of district play, holding on to the goal of wining four of the next six games and a strong finish to the season.
Young players get head start on basketball skills
Future Coram Deo basketball teams are destined to gain significant benefit from after school activities at the Carrollton campus, as both male and female students participate in voluntary skill-development seminars and practice sessions conducted and supervised by the school’s director and basketball coach.
