The faculty and staff would like to thank each one of you for your acts of kindness and generosity during the Christmas season. Your cards of encouragement and various other gifts were greatly appreciated!

We will open and proceed at the normal time this morning.   

1. We will make every attempt to post a banner on the CDA web site by 6:00am noting any cancelations or postponements.
2. CDA will be listed, along with other schools, noting school schedule changes on 94.9 KLTY radio and CBS Channel 11.
3. A mass e-mail will be distributed to CDA families.
4. Using the most current telephone number list we have, a mass phone message will be sent to CDA families.

Please be sure to check the web site before leaving for school on questionable days.  As always, use your own discretion if you live in an area that may be more adversely affected.  We never want any family to take unadvisable risks.  It is our hope that at least one of these postings will reach every family and make everyone aware of the conditions.

Our first candle fundraiser was a great success!  Students earned a pizza party, a homework pass and another opportunity to wear their spirit shirts.  We will host our second campus visit day of the year this Thursday, December 11th at 9:00.  If you know of families who are interested in classical Christian education please invite them to attend.  Picture retakes will be this Tuesday, December 9th.  Hot lunch will be served on Tuesday as well.

Our first campus visit day of the year will be on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 9:00a.m. in the church building.  We will provide an overview of classical Christian education followed by a tour of the campus classrooms.  Students in our 5th grade class worked hard during the first quarter to receive honor roll recognition.  Prepaid hot lunch will be served on Tuesday, November 11th.  Please join our Mom To Mom fellowship this Thursday, November 13 at 8:45 in the Parish Hall. A representative from Honorable Character will be presenting a workshop on how to incorporate character building during your at home day.  J.I. Packer will be preaching at Trinity on Sunday, November 16th at 10:30 a.m.  All those interested are invited to attend.

The Dallas campus will host the first New Family Information Meeting of the year.  Please join us at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2008.  The school is located at 12727 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas, Texas 75230.  The meeting will provide prospective families the opportunity to gain greater understanding of classical Christian education as implemented in Coram Deo Academy's school-home collaboration.  Headmaster, Rodney Marshall along with Robi Marshall, Curriculum Director will explain the means and meaning of educating "coram deo" (in the presence of God) with its life-changing implications for your children and future generations.  Please encourage any of your friends and family to attend the meeting to learn more about our wonderful school.  You may attend this meeting even if you are interested in another CDA location.

Students will have the opportunity to wear their new spirit shirts to school on Tuesday to celebrate their accomplishments during the first quarter of school!   Health Screenings take place tomorrow.  If you did not return the completed form to school you still have time to do so. Send the completed form and a check in your child’s PIF on Tuesday.  Our family picnic is planned for this Saturday from 3:00-6:00 at Churchill Park.  Coram Deo will take part in the private school fair at Prestonwood Christian Academy this Saturday from 10:00-1:00.  If you know of others who may be interested in classical education, please let them know about the school fair and our upcoming meetings.
