Coram Deo Academy, a school for head and heart
As Virgil said to Dante, "It is the place to start."
With that allusion, and much more, your children will contend
Let this blog be your Virgil, your mentor, and your friend.

July meetings & book list

New students who have enrolled for the fall should order books now. Please see http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/bookstore/index.php for the complete list.

Families who are just beginning the admission process are encouraged to attend a July meeting if they have not already done so. Summer information sessions provide an opportunity for inquiring parents to learn more about Coram Deo Academy and glean tips on preparing for the coming school year. Join us on the following dates as we share the vision of classical Christian education:

7 – 8:30 pm Tuesday, July 15, 2008

Carrollton School, 2435 E. Hebron Parkway, Carrollton

CDA administrators will explain the means and meaning of educating "coram deo" (in the presence of God). You may attend this meeting even if you are interested in another CDA location. For more information please email carrollton@coramdeoacademy.org or call 972-862-8657.

9:30 – 10:30 am Thursday, July 24, 2008

Dallas School, 12727 Hillcrest, (SW corner of LBJ and Hillcrest, Dallas).

Please contact dallas@coramdeoacademy.org or call 972-385-6410.

Accepted and newly enrolled students: please note that orientations are scheduled for the week of August 11. These mandatory sessions will help you start the school year off on the right foot so plan your vacation time accordingly. Classes begin August 18 for Mon/Wed and full-time students. Tues/Thurs students have their first day of class on August 19.

Collaborative education at Coram Deo Academy was highlighted by Tracy Kornet, KTXA channel 21 anchorwoman, on June 2. To see the news story, click on the video on the right side of the screen at: http://cbs11tv.com/local/Collaborative.education.model.2.738964.html .  Following the commercial, viewers can see the nearly three minute news broadcast. If you know of others who may be interested in classical Christian education, please forward this email or refer them to our website.
