Coram Deo Academy, a school for head and heart
As Virgil said to Dante, "It is the place to start."
With that allusion, and much more, your children will contend
Let this blog be your Virgil, your mentor, and your friend.

Tuesday, Dec. 2 meeting for prospective families

Headmaster Rodney Marshall, along with Robi Marshall, curriculum director, will explain the means and meaning of educating “coram deo” (in the presence of God). The Carrollton School administration/staff will be available to address your questions. This overview of classical education is not campus-specific so it is beneficial to families interested in either the Dallas or Flower Mound locations as well.

Campus Visit Days provide a window into Coram Deo Academy for prospective students and their families. Join us at 9 am on Thursday, December 11, 2008 for an introduction to classical Christian education and a campus tour:

New Student Admission is now open for the 2009-2010 school year. Families who are applying to Coram Deo Academy for the first time will need to create a CDA account before proceeding with the individual student application information. You will be directed to this step when you click the “apply” button on the website.

Applications for siblings of current CDA students may be submitted online using the same family account. Re-enrollment for current students opens January 1; no action is required for continuing students at this time. Where students compete for limited seats, priority will be given to returning students who re-enroll within the month of January and their siblings who apply by January 31. Applications from new families will be prioritized according to the date of application. As of February 1, all students (new and returning) are granted equal consideration for a requested day.

Coram Deo Academy’s mission is to educate youth in a historic Christian worldview through a vigorous classical curriculum. We aim to train ethical leaders and wise thinkers who will shape culture for the glory of God. If you know of others who may be interested in learning more about our program, please feel free to pass this information along to them. A complete listing of meeting dates is available at http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/pages/visit.php.

Inquiring parents are invited to Tuesday’s New Family Information Meeting to be held on Coram Deo Academy’s Carrollton campus, 2435 E. Hebron Parkway, Carrollton, at 7 pm on December 2. You may attend this meeting even if you are interested in another CDA location. Reservations are appreciated and may be made by clicking here.
