Forward, March! New Student Acceptance Packets Coming in Early March

A majority of CDA applicants have completed admission testing and many have already interviewed. Formal acceptance packets for those candidates who have fulfilled the admission requirements will be mailed by mid-March. Please follow the enrollment steps outlined in the acceptance letter. To secure your child’s place in next year’s class, the signed Enrollment Covenant should be returned to the Finance Office with the New Student Fee within ten days of the packet’s postmark.

Details of an expanded elective program will also be coming in March. Please watch the CDA website for announcements about exciting summer classes including sports camps and a variety of 1 week offerings. The schedule of Friday electives/athletics for the 2007-2008 school year will soon be available as well. When online registration opens later in the month, you may register your child for any of these classes via your family login.

If your child has not completed the admission process, please make certain all supporting documents are submitted in a timely manner. Applicants for grades 5-12 must register for the ISEE directly with ERB. Admission testing for students applying to grades K-4 will be coordinated by the admission staff. Pre-K candidates are exempt from formal testing but still have a family interview with the school director. Please contact your campus admission coordinator directly if you have questions about the process or need to schedule an interview.

New Parent Coffees will be held on each campus in May. We hope you’ll come to fellowship with other CDA families as well as to glean pragmatic tips on uniform/book orders, summer reading, etc.

Mark your calendars now for Classical Educators Training (CET) on August 7 and 8, 2007. Hosted by Coram Deo Academy, this annual conference is designed to instruct both parent educators and classroom teachers in the philosophy and methodology of classical Christian education. Out of state guests and CDA families alike sing its praises. You won’t want to miss this special opportunity to be inspired and to prepare for the coming school year.
