Friday night, August 29 at 7:30 PM, the Lions begin their 5th season of football. Coach Steve Lane takes the Lions to Fort Worth to play the Eagles of Temple Christian. Coming off their first ,TAPPS playoff appearance in 2007, the Lions are looking to improve their performance this year.Seniors Marcus Dingler, Cooper Newlan, David Powell, Trevor Smith, Mark Becker, Taylor Sharp and Blake Graham will lead the Lions with some help from newcomer Zach Longcrier. Come and support the Lions as they begin their 2008 football season!
The Junior High team will be opening their season at 5:00 PM on Friday at Temple also. Coach Donnie Brake has 22 young men who are excited to play their first game. Coaches Bert Elliott and Russell Ammons have been instrumental in preparing the "junior" Lions for this first game. Come at 5:00 and watch them play! Friday night lights in Texas, be there!
