Re-enrollment:
Continuing students may re-enroll Jan. 1
Re-enrollment for the 2008-2009 school year will open for continuing students at midnight on Jan. 1. The re-enrollment fee is waived for students who register in January; a fee of $250 will be charged after Jan. 31. Login to the family account and follow the prompts. Early enrollment reserves a place for students and allows CDA to contract with staff during the spring hiring season. Because of the commitments CDA makes based upon enrollment, there is no forgiveness of tuition owed.
The 2008-2009 tuition schedule now available at http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/pages/tuition.php includes a chart of comparable DFW schools and demonstrates CDA’s remarkable value. Tuition assistance is available for qualifying families; to learn more about this confidential process, please see http://coramdeoacademy.org/content/admission/tuitionassistletter.php.
Families are invited to join CDA for another year enjoying the school/family collaboration, exploring new vistas of thought and educating the next generation to live all of life before God.
New student admission now open
New students who wish to apply for admission to Coram Deo Academy for the 2008-2009 school year should do so now. CDA offers full-time pre-kindergarten through grade 12 instruction through two options: the part-time campus/part-time home partnership for students at Carrollton, Dallas and Flower Mound; and a five-day per week option for students in grades five and above at Carrollton and Flower Mound. While the majority of CDA families attend part-time, the five-day a week option is now available to fill expressed needs and to continue CDA’s outreach.
A Ton of Tuna:
The CDA of Carrollton campus will join the high school house system in collecting a ton of tuna for CCA. This is a great project and everyone can join in. Let’s do our part. Everyone is welcome to bring cans of tuna to the office this week. Let’s see how many cans we can collect in just one week.
Christmas Parties:
The last hour of the day on the 19th and 20th is reserved for class parties. I hope you will join us for a bit of fun and celebration as we end the first half of the year and begin the Christmas Holiday.
Join us on Monday and Tuesday for a Special Guest:
Parents are invited to join the logic level students in the auditorium on Monday and Tuesday to hear a special guest lecture. I know I am excited to meet this famous person from the past. However, if I am called away for a meeting, I trust you will all say hello to this person for me.
No Friday Classes:
Please remember that Friday classes will not be held on the 21st. We will resume on the first Friday after we return to school in January.
Monday Evening:
Be sure to join us on Monday evening at 7:00pm for the musical theatre performance. It should be a great evening of drama and Broadway tunes!
Basketball:
The A and B teams are both still undefeated. Together they are 6-0 on the season. However, a tough game is coming this week with nearby Prince of Peace. Plan to see the Lions in January and February as we will have some spirit days and some special events at some games. GO LIONS!!
I look forward to seeing each of you this coming week for parties, basketball games and the theatre performance.
In Christ,
Scott Davis
