Plan to attend the January 24th Continuing Family Information Meeting.
Continuing Family Information Meeting on January 24th

Plan to join us for a very special evening on Thursday, Jan. 24th. Our annual CFIM (Continuing Family Information Meeting) is always a very important time for our families. This time helps us to communicate the vision of CDA and to give you information on some things coming for the next year. It also gives you an opportunity to meet many of the teachers and to speak with teachers your student will have for next year. It is a great time to ask some questions and get the vision for educating students so they may one day shape culture for the Glory of God.

In the same evening we will have basketball games. CDA will be playing Denton Calvary Academy. The Flower Mound team will play at 5:00pm and the Carrollton team will play at 6:00pm. We will have special pricing for the game that night. Bring the whole family for only $5.00. Enjoy the game and some concessions before the meeting. CDA shirts and bags are also available. After the game, make your way through the displays in the lobby and then join us for our Continuing Family Information meeting beginning at 7:15pm.

Tuition Assistance:

If you would like to apply for tuition assistance for the 2008-2009 academic year, please go to your family login and re-enroll. Then go to the tuition assistance area and make application right away so that awards may be given ASAP after priority re-enrollment.

Re-enrollment:

Thank you to the many families who have already re-enrolled for the 2008-2009 school year. If you have not already done so, please remember to go through the re-enrollment process in January as this is the priority period. Re-enrolling now secures your seat for the same day for the 2008-2009 school year. It also waives the $250 re-enrollment fee. If you have questions about the process, please let me know and I will help in whatever way I can.

Geography Bee:

Students in Grades 4-8 who are interested in competing in the Geography Bee should e-mail Ms. King. She can also provide you with some details. jking@coramdeoacademy.org The winner will have an opportunity to go on to compete at a higher level. I encourage all interested students to give it a try and have some fun. The Bee will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, January 25th.

Campus Visit Day:

Interested families are encouraged to join us on January 17th for our first campus visit day of 2008. This will run from 9:30 – 10:30am and give parents a chance to hear a short presentation and have a tour of the campus and see some classes. This is a great time and very helpful for interested families. Please call 972-862-8657 or e-mail carrollton@coramdeoacademy.org to reserve your place.

Basketball:

The teams had a few tough games this past week. However, both the A and B teams remain undefeated. The boys are working hard and they play in such a way as to represent our Lord and CDA in a positive way. Plan to come out and see the team on Monday as we face the THESA Riders at 6:00pm.

MLK Day Schedule:

Please remember that the school will be closed to observe MLK Day on January 21st and 22nd. Make sure to mark your calendar.

A World Tour:

I wonder if we can arrange a world tour for our students on Fridays. I wonder if they can experience culture, food and other things from countries all over the world. I wonder if we have a person who may have traveled to these places, taught about them and is an expert in history. Wow!! I can’t wait to find out.

Have an excellent weekend!!

In Christ,

Scott Davis
