Honor Roll Released, Important Admissions Information and Big Basketball News
Honor Rolls:

Making the honor roll is a very big achievement. We honor the students in grades 5-12 with academic recognition at the end of each quarter and at the end of the year for their cumulative averages. We had many students make the honor roll and even had a few make the very challenging summa cum laude level (98 and above). Here is the direct link to the CDA honor roll:

Apply Now:

Many of you will have a younger child entering CDA this next fall. Very often seats in the younger grades fill quickly. I would recommend that you go ahead and complete the on line application for the next student you wish you enroll. That will put you at the front of the line for this coming school year and give you the best chance possible to have the grade level and day of the week selection you wish. You may apply by going to your family login.

Campus Visit Day:

We have our first CVD of the year on Thursday, November 13th. That is just a short time away. If you have interested friends, let them know that we will have this session just for them at 9:00am on Thursday. Interested families will hear a short presentation and them take a tour through classrooms and see what we do every day. Please call the office or e-mail us for reservations. This can also be done on line in the admissions section.

New Classrooms and Improvements:

We are making steady progress toward the funding goal for the new classrooms and other improvements. While the new classrooms are the biggest item, let me remind you about other goals within the project. We really need CDA signage on Hebron Parkway. We have been given the ability to do this by the church and we are seeking approval from the City of Carrollton. Much of what we are allowed to do depends on the City of Carrollton, but we are very hopeful and have spoken to them about it. Signage on the road and on the campus will help everyone know where we are and be able to get around the lanes and parking areas. Perhaps some signage can even help with announcements. We also want to bring some sunlight into the building through some windows and light tubes. These projects affect us all and will make campus life much more pleasant. Please consider a donation of any size. Your help is greatly appreciated and will certainly benefit all students and families. The easiest way to do this is to go on line and make your contribution. You can give a one time amount or a monthly pledge over a given time. Some have even pledged a monthly amount for as long as their students are attending CDA. We appreciate that kind of forward thinking and help with current and future projects as our campus matures and improves.

First Basketball Game:

The Lions are working hard getting ready for another season. Come out and see the boys play their first game of the year on Thursday, November 13th. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00pm. The Flower Mound campus team will play at 5:00pm. Come on out for a couple of good games against rival Denton Calvary Academy.

Spirit Shirts:

We still have a small number of spirit shirts remaining. We do not plan another order for this year so be sure to pick one up if you still want to have one. We have child and adult sizes available.

Have a great weekend and be sure to tell your friends about the opening of admissions and the campus visit day on Thursday.

In Christ,

Scott Davis
