Parents assemble using the following schedule:
PreK, Kindergarten & 4th grades
Classroom Meetings 9:00a.m. – 10:30a.m.
Meeting in Auditorium 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
All PreK – 4th grade Parents & Teachers
Meet in the Auditorium 10:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
New CDA parents (returning parents are welcome, too) attend the meeting in the auditorium. Parents will receive a packet of information and listen to an overview of school procedures presented by Mrs. Campbell.
1st, 2nd & 3rd grades
Auditorium Meeting 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 p.m.
Classroom Meetings 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
PARENT ORIENTATIONS in the Grammar School
The Parent Orientations represent an overview of classroom activities that include the teacher’s explanation of daily procedures, classroom management style, and sharing brief sample lessons that also support the home teaching environment.
Parents (one or both) are expected to attend a classroom orientation for each of their enrolled children. Students do not attend Orientations with their parents. Parents that have enrolled their children in the Monday/Wednesday classes will attend the Parent Orientations on Wednesday, August 13th. Parents that have enrolled their children in the Tuesday/Thursday classes will attend the Parent Orientations on Thursday, August 14th. The teachers’ presentations in the classrooms are the same on both days.
Parent Orientations are considered an important introduction to the new school year at CDA. The meetings provide parents with the management tools to assure smooth and successful transitions from school to home and home to school. We look forward to seeing you in August.
