PARENT ORIENTATIONS in the Grammar School
The Parent Orientations represent an overview of classroom activities that include the teacher’s explanation of daily procedures, classroom management style, and sharing brief sample lessons that also support the home teaching environment.
Parents (one or both) are expected to attend a classroom orientation for each of their enrolled children. Students do not attend Orientations with their parents. Parents that have enrolled their children in the Monday/Wednesday classes will attend the Parent Orientations on Wednesday, August 13th. Parents that have enrolled their children in the Tuesday/Thursday classes will attend the Parent Orientations on Thursday, August 14th. Should a parent need to attend two Orientations they can attend on Wednesday and Thursday. The teachers’ presentations are the same on both days.
Parent Orientations are considered an important introduction to the new school year at CDA. The meetings provide parents with the management tools to assure smooth and successful transitions from school to home and home to school. We look forward to seeing you in August.

Coram Deo Academy’s administrators and school directors are available to speak about a variety of educational topics for Preschool PTA, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), homeschool support groups, church study groups, and more. Please contact Barbara Rogers at brogers@coramdeoacademy.org if you have a connection with any such organization. Many of these groups are planning right now for the coming year so we hope to make contact before summer’s end. We welcome the opportunity to share the joy of educating in the presence of God.
New and returning students are expected to complete summer reading prior to the start of school. If your family isn’t quite through the admission process yet, your child should be reading in anticipation of acceptance. Children entering grades 5-12 may download their book report forms from the summer reading list page.
Students who have enrolled for the fall should order books now. Please see click here for the complete school year list as well as required summer reading list. With the exception of Shurley Grammar and Coram Deo Press items (green) or other “classroom distribution” items (blue), you are responsible for buying your child’s books. Click here to order directly from Varsity Books. You may also purchase from your favorite local or online book store but please pay special attention to the ISBN—the numbers must match exactly. For Lands’ End uniform information please click here.
All financial accounts must be in order prior to the start of school. Families may elect to pay in full or establish a monthly payment plan through FACTS Tuition Management. If you have completed your child’s enrollment process online, then you should receive an invoice about the 10th of the month from FACTS.You will need the number on that invoice to set up your account. Please go to http://www.factsmgt.com or contact FACTS at 1-800-624-7092.
