It is wonderful to welcome the teachers, students and parents back to school. Thank you for the continued support and prayers as we transition from our summer breaks to the classrooms. In observance of Labor Day holiday the school is closed on Monday, September 1 and Tuesday, September 2. Classes resume on Wednesday, September 3 and Thursday, September 4.

Here are three suggestions to help make funds for the Grammar School classrooms:
- Sign up for a Tom Thumb reward card and earn 1% for the school each shopping trip.The Tom Thumb charity number is: 11340. You just have to go to the Courtesy Booth and fill out a form to have this number added to your Tom Thumb reward card. Friends and relatives can participate with us too!
- Save Box Tops. Clip the box tops, place 50 Box Tops in a snack size baggie, and send the collected Tops to school.
- Recycle by using the CDA recycling bin located by the entrance in the parking lot. Toss phone books, newspapers, copy paper, and mail into the bin. Please no cardboard, styrofoam, glass, or food trash.
CORAM DEO CAFÉ
Please join us this school year as moms get together once a month in the Fireside Room on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 8:30 -9:30 for fellowship and encouragement. The September meetings on Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 10 are panel discussions titled "Top Ten Things I wish I'd known when I started CDA". It will include topics discussing how to organize kids' classwork/assignments; incentives for home use; alternative ways to home teaching; how to help your room mom; getting involved as a parent, and how to schedule activities outside classes at school such as piano lessons, etc.
