FURRY FRIENDS and GIFT CARDS
Fifty students received Furry Friends for securing 10 items in Early Bird sales this week!! Students turning in 15 items secured in sales by Monday, September 29th and Tuesday, September 30th receive a $15 gift card to Toys R Us! The gift card prizes and class party recognitions will be announced after a final count of sales is complete. Thank you for participating in our “Christian Collection” fundraiser this month.
DADS DAY AT CDA OCTOBER 3
Join other CDA dads for a campus workday at 8:00 – 10:00 on Friday, October 3rd. The morning begins with coffee and doughnuts in the Fireside Room. Mark Lewis has a list of projects that include fence mending, yard work, painting, and other general maintenance items that need attention. Bring your tools and come help make our school look better. ANNUAL HEALTH SCREENINGS OCTOBER 13 & 14
Hearing, vision, and ANTES screenings will be administered at school by Insight on Monday, October 13th and Tuesday, October 14. This service is offered to assist families in fulfilling annual mandated health screenings. More information will be sent in the PIFs.
PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES OCTOBER 22 & 23
The Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, October 22nd and Thursday, October 23rd. Conference schedules will be sent home in your child’s PIF the week of October 6th. Please note that students do not attend the conferences with their parents and child care is not available on campus. It is important to keep the appointment set on the Parent/Teacher Conference Schedules to assure you have a scheduled time to meet with your child’s teacher during the first semester of school. Thank you for arriving five minutes before your conference is scheduled with the teacher to facilitate a smooth transition from one appointment to the next.
SCHOOL PICTURE DAY OCTOBER 29 & 30
Student and class pictures will be taken at school on Wednesday, October 29th and Thursday, October 30th. Students wear their school uniforms on picture day.

NOVEMBER EVENTS GRANDPARENTS DAY & DEO IN THE PARK
Mark Your Calendar for the week of November 3rd. We are excited to have the opportunity to share the vision for our school with the grandparents and other special people in the lives of our students! We invite the grandparents of PreK – 12th grade CDA students to join us from 7:45am- Noon on Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 6th to tour our facilities and have pictures made with their grandchildren.
CDA parents will be receiving an E-vite invitation to forward to their relatives about Grandparents Day. Please send the e-mail invitation to your child's grandparents or RSVP for them. But that's not all! The grandparents will be recognized again at the Friday night football game when Lions play at 7:30 at the Coppell Stadium West. Our fun filled week will end with our third annual Deo in the Park held on Saturday, November 8th from 10am-1pm. We will have activities for all ages! You will not want to miss this fun event! Tickets will go on sale October 20th & 21st. Please check the blog for weekly updates on all the above events.
