PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES ON FRIDAYS

Your children will be excited to participate in our newly organized physical education programs taught by Mrs. Michelle Davis on Fridays. Mrs. Davis is a certified physical education teacher qualified to teach nutrition and conditioning programs to CDA children.

Mrs. Davis has coached youth fitness programs and has taught skill development classes for over 10 years. The weekly P.E. Friday classes are intended to develop a child’s awareness of physical robustness and good health procedures. The Kindergarten and first grade students will enjoy playing games and exercising with balls, parachutes, and Frisbees. Students in the second and third grades further develop their fitness and athletic skills by learning how to keep score for games, playing team sports and practicing good sportsmanship, jump rope challenges, and lessons in nutrition. In the Lifetime Sports class the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students will have a great time learning strengthening exercises, team sports, safety rules for bicycle and swimming, and how to measure their heart rate during exercise. The Lifetime Sports activities will teach the children the importance of incorporating exercise and nutrition into their daily workouts for the rest of their lives. This is the age to begin integrating good habits that will last a lifetime!

Good health will make children stronger and more capable to succeed in every area of their lives. The CDA Friday physical education classes teach children how to implement healthy lifestyle management skills into everyday activities. To enroll – go to the CDA website and use your family login to register for Friday classes.
