Senior Snapshot

Chase Good, Coram Deo Academy senior, stopped by my office for a brief, impromptu chat this afternoon (in the middle of looking for his lost car keys!). While eating Oreo cookies and discussing college matters, our conversation turned toward Chase’s interest in mathematics, and how much he is enjoying Mrs. Seekamp’s calculus class. “I’m a pretty uninteresting student who just happens to have uber math skills,” he told me. While Chase isn’t sure about his college major yet, he does plan to pursue something in the math and sciences. Although undecided about which university to attend next year, he has been accepted at SMU and the Colorado School of Mines, and is waiting to hear from the University of Texas and the University of Texas at Dallas. Chase, a long-time CDA student, has attended since the sixth grade. As our conversation was coming to a close, I asked Chase to comment on his education at Coram Deo Academy. He replied, “ From what I know it is just as rigorous as most of the top high schools I’ve visited in Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, which makes me think I’ve gotten a really great education, plus I like coming to school for only three days a week.”

CDA accepts new student applications on a space-available basis; class openings have been updated. Please see http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/pages/process.php for an explanation of our admission process. If you have already submitted an application, the admission coordinator for your campus will be contacting you in the coming weeks to schedule your child’s testing and interview (grades K-4). Applicants for grades 5 and above must register for the ISEE directly with the ERB. The next ISEE will be administered on Saturday, March 29; registration deadline is March 8. ISEE registration booklets are available at any CDA school office.
