The retreat will last from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Attendance is required for all high school students. This all day event will begin with breakfast and opening assembly, followed by numerous activities and workshops in which each house will be making decisions that will influence the upcoming school year.  This retreat is critical to the continued development and improvement of the House System, which seeks to develop student leadership and encourage camaraderie among students and faculty alike. The ultimate success or failure of the retreat itself depends a great deal upon your support. We would like to challenge high school parents to ensure that their children attend this very important event. If nothing else, it’s going to be a lot of fun, so don’t miss it!

Retreat Wear

At the House System Retreat, students may wear shorts (appropriate length, of course), capris or long pants, and House T-shirts (which they will receive upon arriving). 

High School Orientation August 11-12

The orientation will begin at 12:30 with a large group introduction in the auditorium, followed by visits with the classroom teachers who will give a 15 minute overview of the year.

Classrooms Visits:

Period 1 – 1:00-1:15 pm

Period 2 – 1:20-1:35 pm

Period 3 – 1:40-1:55 pm

Period 4 – 2:00-2:15 pm

Period 5 – 2:20-2:35 pm

Period 6 – 2:40-2:55 pm

Gerri Colvin will be in the gym to meet with parents who have students in the study center.

Parents visit with Friday Teachers from 11:30 am-12:00 pm (there will be no additional afternoon orientation for Friday Teachers)

Parents of full-time students are encouraged to attend on Monday.
