House Retreat
Tomorrow, all high school students will be attending the 2nd Annual House Retreat. The retreat will begin promptly at 8:00 AM with the opening assembly, hosted by the House of Wright. Mrs. Marshall will start the retreat with a motivational talk to the students, and house tshirts featuring house shields, as designed by student's at last year's retreat, will be handed out.
 
Students will be participating in intramurals, including gynormous soccer, capture the flag, and a picture scavenger hunt, as well as workshops covering topics including leadership, special activities, spiritual development, media arts, computer design, media writing, and music.In addition to the workshops, students will participate in one of three "Fun" Break-Out Sessions including jousting, karoake, and dance-offs.
 
A light breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided.
 
The second assembly, hosted by the House of Homer, is sure to be memorable as Mr. Retor was chosen by the house leadership team to address the students. The final assembly, hosted by the Houses of Lewis and Wallace, will feature Mr. Marshall as the final speaker. Along with a number of student-led presentations, the retreat will end with an exciting announcement of the final point tally no later than 5:00 PM.
 
WHAT TO BRING 
 
   -Students participating in music should bring their own guitar or use one of the school guitars which will be available and come prepared to present their favorite worship songs.
   -Students participating in media writing should bring a laptop, if possible, to begin writing an article for a local newspaper on the house retreat.
   -Students participating in media arts should bring the house scrapbook as well as any scrapbooking supplies.
   -Students participating in computer design should bring their laptops to work on a presentation for the final assembly along with custom house powerpoint slides.
   -Students who are interested in photography should bring a digital camera with extra batteries and an extra disc if possible, to take pictures for their house. At least four
    photographers per house are requested.
   -All students should bring any old magazines to the retreat for use in media arts.
   -Any students who may have appropriate karoake CD's at home are asked to bring them to the retreat.

Parents are invited to attend any assembly if they wish. They may also enjoy the intramurals and "fun" break-out sessions.
