Junior Great Books
This week, some of our fifth and sixth grade classrooms got a preview of Junior Great Books, a Friday elective available to next year's Logic School students. In the new short-format class (just 45 minutes), students will find a welcoming place for conversations about great short stories and poems. Assignments will be light, readings short, and discussions animated. The overall feel of the class will be intelligent and lively. Think of it as literature enrichment for perceptive readers and creative thinkers. Sound like anyone you know? If so, stop by the CDA Friday Elective webpage and enroll your students.

8th Graders are invited to upcoming House Meetings for Elections
Elections for all House officer positions will take place on Friday May 2nd from 11:05-12:05. While rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) can not hold office, they are allowed to vote. Houses normally meet in the following locations:
            Homer – Powell’s room
            Wright – Ligon’s room
            Wallace – Loe’s room
            Lewis – Rector’s room
Check with your house president if you have any questions.
Contact Mr. Lemley if you do not know your house assignment.
