Assignment Books
Assignment Books
Don't forget to pick up an assignment book for the coming school year. CDA has a new one for $6. You can come by the school to pick it up or buy it at the orientation.
Summer Pictures
Please keep sending me your summer pictures! I have gotten so many cute summer pictures of our students and their summer activities. Some have traveled and some have created great “adventures” in their homes. Send me picture so I can use them in our first slide show! Thank you!
Event Speakers
CoramDeoAcademy’s administrators and school directors are available to speak about a variety of educational topics for Preschool PTA, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), homeschool support groups, church study groups, and more. Please contact Barbara Rogers at brogers@coramdeoacademy.org if you have a connection with any such organization. Many of these groups are planning right now for the coming year so we hope to make contact before summer’s end. We welcome the opportunity to share the joy of educating in the presence of God.
Summer Reading
New and returning students are expected to complete summer reading prior to the start of school. Children entering grades 5-12 may download their book report forms from the summer reading list page.
Supply Lists
Visit P. Dwyer’s document page to view the supply list. The 5th and 6th grade lists will appear when you click on the document. However, if you would like to view other grade levels’ supply lists, please see the bottom of the page where there are sheets labeled 1, 2, and 3. Select those pages to go to other grades’ lists.
Immunization and Screenings
Be prepared for school by sending in your immunization paperwork or updates to the school by the first day of school. Screenings for vision, hearing, and scoliosis are also required in certain grade levels. The school is offering screenings in October (there is a minimal charge for each screening). If you have any concerns or questions, please contact Teri Praslicka or Ellen Perry.
Ordering Books
Students who have enrolled for the fall should order books now. Please see click here for the complete school year list as well as required summer reading list. With the exception of Shurley Grammar and Coram Deo Press items (green) or other “classroom distribution” items (blue), you are responsible for buying your child’s books. Click here to order directly from Varsity Books. You may also purchase from your favorite local or online book store but please pay special attention to the ISBN—the numbers must match exactly.
