Psalm 103 Encourages us to Praise the Lord. “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” This week consider how you are praising the Lord. There are many things that pull on our emotions: the stock market, problems with grades, time management issues, teenage concerns, the business of living…and yet through all those trials and concerns God is faithful and gives us the opportunity to live out our faith in front of our students. A hymn that was based on Psalm 103 is “Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven.” Sing it as you go through your day today. Teach your students how to sing (figuratively and literally) through their trials. Praise God and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Thank you to Adam J. and Josh E. (8th graders) for praying yesterday and today before lunch. (Our Logic School kids pray to God before each lunch time.) Both Adam and Josh lifted up the students and asked for God's mercy for tests and homework assignments. They both praised God for all His works today. As others hear the 8th graders pray in public, I am hopeful that they will see the positive leadership exhibited by our 8th graders. Our CDA teenagers are pretty cool. Hot dog days today and tomorrow for those who have pre-ordered.
