First on-line courses introduced at Coram Deo Academy

[Flower Mound, Texas – Aug. 1, 2008]  Innovating to meet needs, Coram Deo Academy is offering its first on-line classes this fall, introducing Calculus and Trigonometry. Initially created to accommodate CDA-enrolled students with schedule conflicts, the courses will be as rigorous as the in-class version and may also be of benefit to families who are home schooling.

Students may register for the class by going to www.coramdeoacademy.org and clicking on “online school” in the left-hand side. (http://www.coramdeoacademy.org/content/academics/Math_Online_with_CDA.pdf) Classes begin Aug. 26.

CDA-enrolled students may take the online math classes this year, with permission from the mathematics department. Students taking calculus are still required to come to the Friday Calculus Lab.

About Coram Deo Academy
Coram Deo Academy is an independent, nondenominational school and Christian learning community, with three locations in the metroplex: preK- grade eight in Carrollton at 2435 E. Hebron Parkway; preK- grade five in Dallas at 12727 Hillcrest Rd.; and preK – grade 12 in Flower Mound at 4900 Wichita Trail. Filling a unique niche, the Academy educates youth in a historic Christian worldview through a vigorous classical curriculum and genuine school-home collaboration, where students attend school three days a week and work at home under the tutelage of their parents the other days. A five-day option is also available from grade five and up at the Flower Mound campus. The curriculum is based on the classical trivium model of grammar, logic and rhetoric and includes the introduction of Latin in third grade. CDA offers a thoughtful approach to a renaissance in classical education and works to train ethical leaders and wise thinkers who will shape culture for the glory of God.
