Kaitlyn Posey, Olivia Perry and Caleb Slavin have been given the opportunity to use their skills and abilities at the collegiate level next year. They have been an integral part of our program and we are excited to announce these opportunities.
Kaitlyn Posey will be attending the University of Texas at Tyler next year and will be playing soccer. UT Tyler is a Division III school with outstanding facilities and a new head coach. This school is looking to strengthen their program with some new freshman talent and chose Kaitlyn after a rigorous tryout. Kaitlyn had a scholarship offer to Ouachita Baptist College, but chose UT Tyler for their excellent Science Program and their outstanding facilities. Congratulations Kaitlyn and may God bless you next year.
Olivia Perry will be attending Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Covenant College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) and will be giving her a $2000 scholarship to play basketball. After an outstanding season a CDA, Olivia submitted her statistics for the season and the coach offered her this scholarship. Covenant is regularly ranked in the Top 25 for NAIA schools. Congratulations Olivia and we pray for God’s continued blessing on your career at Covenant College.
Caleb Slavin will be attending Texas Christian University on the full tuition, Chancellor Scholarship. He also received a $4500 scholarship, per semester, to be a videographer for the football program. Caleb was responsible for video taping and copying the CDA football contests over the last two years. Now he will be one of six students who will video tape the TCU practices and games next year. Congratulations Caleb on this scholarship and we pray that God will bless you as you use this special gift for Him.
