Congratulations to the FM CDA Symphonic Band! It was an amazing day at Solo & Ensemble competition! We had 18 soloists and 8 small ensembles participating in this event and each solo and ensemble walked away with very high scores. In addition, CDA had 15 soloists and 6 small ensembles that advance tothe State Solo and Ensemble Competition, which takes place May 10! To be able to advance to State is an honor and speaks very highly of the musicianship of our students.
Students advance to state when they make a superior rating on a class 1 solo. (Class 1 is the most difficult category)
Congratulations to all of our CDA Flower Mound choir students who participated in the TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest on Friday, February 28th at Oakridge School in Arlington. In addition, Maggie Branch, Apollonia Craig, Kellyn Dixon, Ivy Hull, and McKenna Richardson qualified for State Solo and Ensemble by receiving a “one” on a “Class 1” solo which is the most difficult category of repertoire.
