CDA Dallas Rhetoric summer trip to England

Katie Beth Pelley
Over the summer 22 Rhetoric students, parents, and faculty had the privilege of taking a trip to England. The group spent time in Oxford, London, and Canterbury where they immersed themselves in many academic areas that they spent time studying.
A highlight during their time in Oxford was being able to visit the home of C.S. Lewis in The Kilns. Students were able to tour his home, see his desk, and learn more about the personal life of Jack. They also visited Holy Trinity Church and even sat in C.S. Lewis' pew.
While in London, the group visited Westminster Abbey, attended Evensong at the Abbey, saw the Churchill War Rooms, the Globe Theater, Borough Market, St. Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, the British Museum, and even a night at the theater to see Les Mis.
On the last day of the trip, the group enjoyed the British countryside with a visit to Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle, and the White Cliffs of Dover. They returned home with memories and lessons that brought their studies to life!
