CDA Flower Mound is proud to welcome the new Pom Squad to our list of extra-curriculars. This group of logic and rhetoric school girls will perform at football games, pep rallies, and other school events where they will elevate our school spirit.
The girls will be led by the amazingly talented Ms. Sarah Idziak. Ms. Idziak has been dancing for over 35 years and has a Bachelors in Performing Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. In addition to dancing at the collegiate level, Ms. Idziak also spent five years performing with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. She is an accomplished choreographer and has worked with studios, high schools, college teams, and professional dance teams developing dance routines. She currently owns Eminence Dance Complex in Roanoke where she teaches competitive dance.
Ms. Idziak is excited to be a part of the CDA Flower Mound Pom Squad. “I am so excited to add Pom to the spirit organizations at CDA Flower Mound! Allowing dancers to have a venue to express their talents at school is so special. I know the team will be a great addition to gameday activities and help build school spirit!”
In order for the girls to make the CDA FM Pom Squad, they had to go through an audition process last spring. Ms. Idziak explained, “The girls attended a clinic to learn choreography. Then, a week later, they danced in small groups for 3 professional judges performing the routine they learned and executing their splits and extra technical skills.”
Be sure and attend a CDA FM football game this year and catch the Pom Squad in action!
