Fall In The Nature Studies Elective

Katie Beth Pelley
Grammar students in the Nature Studies elective had a busy first quarter! The class learned about seeds, spiders, insects, trees, and pumpkins -- just to name a few things.
They made several bug hotels for insects to shelter in. Every time they ventured out into the east side garden area, they made sure to check on them.

The Nature Studies elective provides ample opportunities for students to observe, classify, study, and record nature. Students participate in discovery-based learning. This fall students have been on nature walks, read special selections from books, and recorded and drawn their observations in a nature journal nearly every class.

The fall is a wonderful time to study the world God created in nature!
