Dallas Senior, Simeon Lewis, Receives Trail Life Freedom Award
Read MoreCDA Dallas Senior, Simeon Lewis, was recently awarded The Trail Life Freedom Award for his completion of a servant leadership project. Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered organization that provides youth mentorship and character development. The Freedom Award is Trail Life USA’s highest and most prestigious award. The Freedom Award serves as a cumulation of everything Trail Life stands for.For his servant leadership project, Lewis decided to build a Gaga ball pit for Coram Deo Academy Dallas. Not only did Lewis build the Gaga pit of his design, but he also had to fundraise for the project. Lewis sold original artwork and raised around $400 to reach the total amount of money he needed for the project.“I built a CDA Gaga ball pit because I saw a need in the community- I had had conversations with both admin and students about adding a Gaga ball pit for rhetoric school, an idea most of the students were excited about. However, it seemed as though no one was ready to organize the project, so I decided to take it upon myself. I thought it would make a lasting impact on a community I love, hopefully long after I leave, as the pit is designed to be moved to our new campus,” Lewis said.Thank you, Simeon Lewis, for your lasting contribution to Coram Deo Academy, and congratulations on your achievement! -
CDA Dallas 8th Graders Travel to Washington D.C. for Spring Trip
The 8th grade students have just returned from an unforgettable trip to Washington, D.C., where they explored some of the nation's most historic landmarks.Read More
Their visit included a tour of the White House, where they got a glimpse into the daily workings of the executive branch. Highlights of the Museum of the Bible included seeing St. Jerome’s Vulgate and a working replica of the Gutenberg Press, both studied in 3rd grade. They also spent time in several museums, marveling at fascinating exhibits on history, science, and culture. Congressmen Pat Fallon, Ronny Jackson, and Rich McCormick joined Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne on the steps of the Capitol and spoke to our students about their roles, and answered our students' questions. The experience gave students a deeper appreciation of American history and government. They returned home with great memories and an appreciation of all they have learned! -

Band TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest
Read MoreCongratulations to the FM CDA Symphonic Band! It was an amazing day at Solo & Ensemble competition! We had 18 soloists and 8 small ensembles participating in this event and each solo and ensemble walked away with very high scores. In addition, CDA had 15 soloists and 6 small ensembles that advance to the State Solo and Ensemble Competition, which takes place May 10! To be able to advance to State is an honor and speaks very highly of the musicianship of our students.Students advance to state when they make a superior rating on a class 1 solo. (Class 1 is the most difficult category) -
Choir TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Results
Congratulations to all of our CDA Flower Mound choir students who participated in the TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble Contest on Friday, February 28th at Oakridge School in Arlington. We had eleven students earn medals for their superior rating of a “one” from their judge! In addition, Maggie Branch, Apollonia Craig, Kellyn Dixon, Ivy Hull, and McKenna Richardson qualified for State Solo and Ensemble by receiving a “one” on a “Class 1” solo which is the most difficult category of repertoire.Read More -

The Lion Leadership Club Serves at Feed My Starving Children
During the month of February, The Lion Leadership Club at Coram Deo Academy Dallas packed 13,815 meals at Feed My Starving Children. This was the students' third service project of the year. Students packed enough food to feed 37 children for an entire year! Way to go, Lions!Read More -

Tinseltown Classic Chess Tournament
Read MoreThe CDA Chess Team won a first-place team trophy with a total score of 12.5 points at the Tinseltown Chess Tournament on December 14th. The CDA Chess team was led by Chess Club President and Chess Team Captain Jedidiah Y. alongside him was fellow Rhetoric student and Co-Captain Jacob C. In Logic CDA Chess was represented by Jonathan W., Cohen S., Dylan H., Alexander B., Caspian W. and they were joined by Grammar students Dax E. and Crosby S.Some individual highlights included Caspian W. who had a perfect score of 4 points in the Reserve Section and won a 2nd place trophy due to tiebreaks, Dax E. who won a 3rd place trophy with 3 points in the Reserve Section, and Jedidiah Y. who won a 3rd place trophy with 3 points in the Championship Section. Also, congratulations to CDA parent Mr. John W. for winning 2nd place trophy in the Championship Section with a score of 3 points also as a result of tiebreaks. -

Read MoreThis Saturday evening, 6 CDA rhetoric students performed in the TPSMEA All-Region Choir Concert at Trinity Christian Academy. Tate C., Evan J., & Georgia K. sang in the Mixed Ensemble, and Kara J., Sydney M., & Julia N. sang in the Treble Choir. Congratulations to these singers for a beautiful concert of wonderful music!
