Every year, our PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship) puts together an incredible event that showcases one of the core values of CDA: Collaboration. That event is called Grandparents Day, in honor of the wonderful Grandparents who constantly serve not only their children, but their children's children.
Grandparents may not always get the credit they deserve, but they remind us just how amazing they are time and time again. For our Grammar School students, Grandparents Day is an afternoon to acknowledge their dedication to their families and how much it is appreciated. During this time, our Grandparents get to see a small snippet of their grandchild’s time at the CDA campus, while getting to experience some of their curriculum, a photo booth, and then some crafts and snacks provided by PTF.
The verse for this year was Proverbs 17:6, “Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children”. This verse carried through every part of Grandparents Day, from creating crowns together and decorations.
Our families and students seemed to enjoy a great day of community, fellowship, and love. Thank you, PTF for a wonderful Grandparents Day!
