All Things Bright and Beautiful: PreK Learns About God’s Creation Up Close
Katie Beth Pelley
This week, with the help of the 4th graders, PreK students made bird feeders to hang on a branch outside to view the winter birds in the area.
PreK has been learning about the world around them and how it reflects God’s plan. Students are learning about the animals of the world as well as facts about them, and that God’s creation is always good.
When talking about the study of nature, PreK teacher, Mrs. McGinnis said, “The study of nature heightens children’s awareness of the truth of God’s Creation, the world God has made.”
This week students focused on what kind of animals that God created on Day 5 - the birds of the air. From the classroom windows, PreK students will be able to look out at the birds and hear the birds' amazing songs.
“We know God provides for them exactly what they need but it’s nice to witness these birds close up out our very own windows and be able to identify its kind,” McGinnis said.
