Choir
Music is a gift given to us by God to bring Him glory!
CDA Choirs offer an exciting learning environment for all levels of experience in grades 5-12. These groups learn good vocal technique, fun and challenging repertoire, how to read music and understand music theory. Canticum Novum sings in our Christmas and Spring shows. Bellus Vox adds a level of competition with their participation in Solo and Ensemble. Our top group, Electus Vox, takes it to the next level with competitions and performances in the community as well as a bi-annual mission trip. Come share the joy of music together through song!
In addition to our choirs, we have a worship team, Adoratio Dux, that leads worship during on campus chapels. In our choir program:
- We strive to pursue musical excellence as well as a love of music.
- We learn how to read music to enhance our abilities to perform.
- We enjoy a variety of musical styles from pop to classical.
TPSMEA COMPETITIONS
- Since 2008 we have had students excel at the region and state levels of Solo & ensemble competitions.
- Since 2010, Coram Deo Academy has had students selected for the all-region and all-state choirs.
- In 2015, we began competing in the medium ensemble competition.
